Blogging, snailmail, my planner and a February first free insert!

Hello my so so wonderful new friends!

Today I've had some time to think.  I opened a blog and didn't really have a plan.  It was an oh I want to make this and share this and do this!  So dang it I'm gonna! I so so still want to have a blog! Then I did a brainstorm session!  To find out what this blog will have!

These are all those wonderful things I wanted to write about!  (Dating/Students just makes me laugh and laugh, and guffaw!  I am a student, but it sounds not so great there!)
I then created a blog planner and this is where I am!  I have spent so so much time on this today.  I have created a much much easier plan for getting things all accomplished I'd like to! So today is the beginning!  Of wonderful things to come!

So here are some of the things I am doing!
This is my regular weekly planner.  I am always making the next week after I complete one!  So tonight I sat down and created a blank sheet.  Days can be added however someone would like to add.  I use my boxes for weather of the day!

You can download the sheet HERE.

It is a free PDF file.  It is printed on regular US letter sized paper.  I just flip it over and print on both sides!  It ends up perfectly set up!
So when it is done printing it will look like this and please excuse my white counter tops!  The bathroom has the very best light at this time of night!

Using a straight edge cutter I cut it directly in half!
 5.5 inches

This gives me two weeks spreads, with the end of the week on the front of page one, the week facing each other and the start of the week on the back of page two.  I hope this makes sense, I can understand it because I've done it, and I am so so not sure of how to explain it!

If you have printing questions, I am not sure I can help you!

Since it's the beginning of February, this is the beginning of February and in my weekly planner for documented faith and regular life. I am using this printable from Dawn Maurice or "The Blueberry Loft" on Facebook and blogger!  It was a steal for a handprinted page and I love love them!  I am only using them for this planner.  My work planner requires what they stated were professional pages, so I created some I am using from a previous blog.  I will show at the end of the month, my filled in February if anyone would like to see it then!

Also this month, I've joined Dawn Maurice again for a challenge.  It's a mail challenge!  To mail one piece of mail for each day the post office is open during February.  This includes writing a piece of mail (post card, letter, photo, or what ever you'd like to send someone) for five days of the week! This is also replying to every single piece of mail that comes in!  I was so so excited, I quickly joined in for the fun and sent my first package for February yesterday!  This is going out to a wonderful sweet lady I met on Instagram!  I have my letter written for today, that I'm sending to another sweet lady in England!  I can not even wait to send it to Alex and post the result here!   She is my very first penpal out of the country! I've never even talked to someone that far away before!  I'm so so excited!

If you'd like to join in, on Instagram I'm using "Heartdujourmail" in a hashtag!

This is the package of Valentines fun I sent to this sweet lady in Oklahoma! The blue is a cute booklet I will show once I know for sure she has received it.  Since she doesn't know what is in the package yet!  That's the fun part!   I put so so much pink in it and she loves blue!  How!?  I couldn't believe I did that, so the booklet was to make myself feel better for making her a pink valentine's goodie bag!

So there it is, some fun, some serious, some learning and growing on my part.  A blog is a lot more work than I ever EVER expected!  I'm so so hope I learn in the good way!

Documented Faith : Daily and Weekly Page

I was asked recently about my daily pages, and I actually did two things to create them.  On the daily pages, I downloaded a free box schedule from the internet under clipart schedule in a google image search (so if it prints yucky you know why!)  and just added into my excel program and used doodlebug's font to create the rest of the page!

The weekly page is a bit different.  I print my dates on the edges of the page as well, but I didn't see how I'd be able to keep it up the entire year, especially with Spring semester here.  So I've moved my day of the week and kept the rest the complete same!  I am trying a new page this week!  So I hope it turns out perfectly and I can offerer it here for free next week!

So here is the daily page, on printing all I can say is print on one side and turn it over on my printer it works.  On other printers I'm just not sure.  It is a letter size page.

My weeks, the same.  You will need to pay attention or it may be a big pain in the butt when it's printed upside down! (I've had that happen!)

I hope they come in really handy!

I've just downloaded some monthly calendars from The Blueberry loft on Facebook, they are hand drawn!  I am loving them, and they are the inspiration for my weekly pages I'm using this week!
If you haven't seen my Instagram, feel free to take a look from the link on the left!

Have an awesome night!

Week 1 : Complete and an LDS Free Download

This week has been chaos, and I'm still feeling a bit torn on if it was a good week or not?  I've been completing my daily topic study on "Truth" which is the word of the month for Documented Faith.  Then this week I was reading from the Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson and realized I couldn't have chosen my yearly word ANY better!  No really!  He's all about obedience!  Which right now, I really need in my life.

Irony thought, obedience is hard for me, but this week patience is killing me!

Earlier this week we had our apartment inspection.  Fun!  Even more fun, the day of our inspection our furnace went kapoot!  Kind of funny, except it was the 30th and 6pm.  So they sent out a repairman the next day.  It's New Year's Eve, do you know what that means to a furnace repairman?  They get off work at 3pm.  He showed up at 2:15.  He discovered our water heater gas valve is preventing the pilot light from staying lit and ta da, gave us a Friday fix day because they didn't have the part in stock AND they were closed for New Year's Day the next day.  He was VERY nice, and gave us two space heaters to get us through until Friday!  (Kind of sucked not having hot water though.)

We toughed it out, we are good like that.

On Friday, the guy didn't show up again until almost 5 and went straight to work and got it done.  Which was awesome, we'd been using space heaters and pans on the stove to keep warm and wash up!

So, today I thought I had nothing to do, no really.  Not one thing.  I'd gone early for errands and had planned to play around with getting the Book of Mormon into a journaling type book.  That's it.  That was my total agenda today, ok with get some clothes washed and maybe eat and watch a show or something.   Instead I didn't get as much as I wanted completed!  For one, we've found our furnace is still broken.  No really.  They finished fixing it at like 7 last night, and when we got home after all that Friday night hangout fun, it was cold but we were all heading to bed, and didn't think of it.  We turned the heater up to 67 since it was showing 58 and went to bed.  Fast forward to this morning, it was showing 55, and it was more than cold!  I started fiddling with our settings, it had been off a few days (since they discovered it was broken on 12/30)  so I reset all of our previous temps and hit it to turn on.  After running errands we came back and it had only warmed to 60.  Heads up, we are slow.  They DID just fix our furnace after all.  I didn't consider it wasn't fixed!  We didn't think of "it was a bit sunny today on our windows and that could have warmed the apartment a little"!  Yes, we wasted another hour thinking it was probably working and we weren't going to fuss over it.  After an hour, I think my hands were frozen and my feet were going to turn into cushions with the ten pairs of socks I was wearing!  So I had the office maintenance guy come over and check our pilot light.  (Our furnace is a wet heat furnace and runs from our water heater.)  The pilot light is lit!  Still!  We have loads of hot water we didn't have the past three days.  So, long story not longer, they fixed the water heater issue, but not the furnace issue and we are out of luck until Monday!  Space heaters are 50$!  We are cold!  We spent the money on a space heater.  That will most likely end up in a yard sale sometime next summer.   Hey, when you can't put your hands out of your snuggie to hold anything that means it's cold!

Good week?  Bad week?  I'm going to go with good.  We do have hot water after all!

So here is my week 1, completed.  Finished to the best of my ability.
I opted to use my notes section for a weekly journal type thing.  I journal every single night, but this just felt like it was what I wanted to do this week.  Next week?  I don't know yet.

As for the Journaling type Book of Mormon.  Don't kill me!  Here are the first few pages, I know it may seem like nothing.  Because it's not even one full chapter of the 1st book of Nephi!  Yes I failed!!  Oh how I dislike failing!

To anyone who downloads these, can you please tell me how they print for you?  I've put them in a PDF of 8.5 x 11 pages.  All the journaling sides are on the right.  All text should be on the left.  It's meant to be in a binder, or bound.  I've noticed some issues already but wonder what those who print it think I should change before I delve into it again tomorrow after church.  (They can print back to back on the print only odd pages and then print only even pages)  I'm going to journal tonight and put my testimony etc in the witness pages.  It seemed fitting!)

I'm still editing pages and passages to fit onto pages and hoping to have more done to post!  I hope I'm forgiven for getting hopes up, when I only got into the first chapter of 1 Nephi!   For now, I hope those who were waiting don't mind a nice bit of journaling around those pages that many just skip over!  (I love the testimonies, I admit it!  Especially Joseph Smith's!)

That's it for tonight, since I forgot to take photos of my daily pages and it's already late enough taking a photo in this light is to be honest, horrible!  So I will save that for tomorrow!

Hope you all had a wonderful New Year's day and your 2015 is off to an amazing start!
